About this tool

Scanners and phone cameras routinely produce pages that open sideways or upside down. The fix is not to re-scan: a PDF page carries a rotation property, and setting it correctly costs nothing in quality because no pixels are touched. This tool adds a rotation relative to each page's current orientation, so a document with a mix of correct and sideways pages can be fixed by targeting only the offending page numbers.

How to use

  1. Add a PDF file.
  2. Choose how far to turn the pages: 90° clockwise, 180°, or 270°.
  3. Leave the page selection as 'all', or list only the pages that need rotating, such as 2,5-7.
  4. Click Rotate and download the corrected document.

When to use this tool

  • Fixing scanned pages that came out sideways.
  • Correcting a single upside-down page in an otherwise fine document.
  • Turning landscape spreadsheets to read properly on screen.
  • Preparing a document for printing in the right orientation.

Tips

  • Rotation is relative to the current orientation, so applying 90° twice equals 180°.
  • Nothing is re-rendered, so rotating never costs quality or file size.
  • Use a page selection like 2,5-7 to fix only the pages that are wrong.

FAQ

Is my document uploaded?
No. The rotation property is edited in your browser with pdf-lib. Nothing is transmitted or stored.
Does rotating reduce quality?
Not at all. Rotation is metadata on the page — no content is re-encoded, so the file stays visually identical and roughly the same size.
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Type its number in the page selection, for example 3. Ranges and lists such as 2,5-7 work too.
