About this tool

Deleting is the opposite of extracting, and which one you want depends on how much you are keeping. Dropping a cover sheet, a blank scanner page or an internal appendix from a long document is far easier expressed as 'remove page 1' than as 'keep pages 2 through 47'. This tool copies every page except the ones you name into a new document, so the pages you keep are untouched — no re-encoding, no quality loss.

How to use

  1. Add a PDF file.
  2. Type the pages to delete: single numbers, lists and ranges all work, such as 1,4-6.
  3. Click Delete pages.
  4. Download the trimmed document.

When to use this tool

  • Removing a cover sheet or fax header before sharing.
  • Dropping blank pages a scanner inserted.
  • Stripping an internal appendix from a document going to a client.
  • Deleting duplicate pages from a batch scan.

Tips

  • The page numbers refer to the original document, so you can list them all in one go rather than deleting repeatedly.

FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Pages are removed in your browser with pdf-lib. Nothing is transmitted or stored.
Can I delete every page?
No — a PDF with no pages is not a valid document, so that request is rejected rather than producing a broken file.
Do the page numbers shift as pages are deleted?
No. All numbers refer to the original document, so 1,4-6 means the first, fourth, fifth and sixth pages of the file you uploaded.
